- 1 bag (8 oz) salted potato chips
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 tsp sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread potato chips evenly, slightly crushing them.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir until boiling. Boil for 3 minutes without stirring, then remove from heat and mix in vanilla.
- Pour hot toffee over potato chips, spreading evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until bubbly. Remove and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let melt for 2 minutes, then spread evenly. Optional: sprinkle with sea salt.
- Cool completely before breaking into pieces.
