- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk

- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp butter (for topping)

Instructions
Preparing the Casserole:
- Lightly grease a small baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
- Cut bread into thick slices or cubes and arrange in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour custard mixture evenly over the bread, pressing gently to help absorption.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
Baking the Casserole:

7. Dot small pieces of butter over the top.
8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and set.
9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
