Description

Honey garlic pork tenderloin is a flavorful, juicy, and easy-to-make dish featuring a delicious balance of sweet and savory flavors. Marinated or glazed with a rich honey garlic sauce, this tender pork is perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pork tenderloin (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade – In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  2. Marinate the Pork – Place pork tenderloin in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over the pork and let it sit for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  3. Preheat the Oven – Set to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  4. Sear the Pork – Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of olive oil. Sear the pork on all sides until golden brown.
  5. Roast the Pork – Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. Rest and Serve – Let the pork rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and drizzle with extra sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Spicy Version – Add extra red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
  • Balsamic Twist – Swap apple cider vinegar for balsamic vinegar for a richer depth of flavor.
  • Glazed Finish – Brush with additional honey garlic sauce in the last 5 minutes of roasting for a sticky glaze.
  • Grilled Option – Cook on a grill over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Slow Cooker Version – Cook on low for 6-8 hours for a pull-apart tender texture.
