Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pork tenderloin (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade – In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Marinate the Pork – Place pork tenderloin in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over the pork and let it sit for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
- Preheat the Oven – Set to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Sear the Pork – Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of olive oil. Sear the pork on all sides until golden brown.
- Roast the Pork – Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Rest and Serve – Let the pork rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and drizzle with extra sauce if desired.
Notes
- Spicy Version – Add extra red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
- Balsamic Twist – Swap apple cider vinegar for balsamic vinegar for a richer depth of flavor.
- Glazed Finish – Brush with additional honey garlic sauce in the last 5 minutes of roasting for a sticky glaze.
- Grilled Option – Cook on a grill over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Slow Cooker Version – Cook on low for 6-8 hours for a pull-apart tender texture.
