Description

Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8-10 lb) fully cooked bone-in ham
- 1 cup honey
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Whole cloves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Trim excess fat from ham and score the surface in a diamond pattern.
- In a saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and black pepper. Simmer until thickened.
- Place ham in a roasting pan, brush with half the glaze, and insert whole cloves if desired.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes per pound. Remove foil, brush with remaining glaze, and increase temperature to 375°F (190°C) for the last 30 minutes.
- Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use a fully cooked ham for convenience and safety.
- Baste the ham every 30 minutes for extra juiciness.
- If the glaze thickens too much, add a splash of water to thin it.
- For a deeper flavor, marinate the ham in the glaze overnight.
