  • Total Time: ~1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Description

Refreshing and tropical Homemade Pineapple Iced Tea combines brewed tea, pineapple juice, and a touch of sweetness for the perfect summer drink. Easy to make, customizable, and naturally delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 black tea or green tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks (or ¾ cup pineapple juice)
  • 24 tbsp honey, sugar, or a natural sweetener (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brew the Tea: Steep tea bags in boiling water for 5–7 minutes. Remove tea bags and let the tea cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Pineapple Mixture: Blend fresh pineapple chunks until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve for juice. Skip this step if using store-bought pineapple juice.
  3. Sweeten the Tea: Stir honey or sugar into the warm tea until dissolved. Adjust sweetness as desired.
  4. Combine the Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix brewed tea, pineapple juice, and lemon juice. Stir well.
  5. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves if desired.

  • Herbal Twist: Swap black/green tea for chamomile or hibiscus.
  • Coconut Infusion: Add a splash of coconut water.
