Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups water
- 2–3 black tea or green tea bags (or 2 tablespoons loose-leaf tea)
- 1 large fresh orange, sliced
- 2–3 fresh rosemary sprigs
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Boil Water – In a medium saucepan or kettle, bring water to a boil.
- Brew the Tea – Pour the hot water over the tea bags or loose-leaf tea in a heatproof pitcher. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on the desired strength.
- Infuse with Orange and Rosemary – Add fresh orange slices and rosemary sprigs to the brewed tea while it is still warm. Allow it to steep for another 10-15 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- Strain and Sweeten – Remove the tea bags or strain out the loose tea, oranges, and rosemary. Stir in honey or your preferred sweetener, if using.
- Chill – Let the tea cool to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.
- Serve – Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over them. Garnish with additional orange slices and rosemary sprigs for an elegant touch.
- Enjoy – Stir gently and savor the refreshing taste!
Notes
- Use Different Teas – Substitute black tea with green tea, white tea, or herbal tea for a different flavor profile.
- Citrus Blend – Add lemon or grapefruit slices for a mixed citrus infusion.
- Sweetener Alternatives – Swap honey for agave syrup, maple syrup, or a sugar-free option.
- Sparkling Version – Add sparkling water before serving for a fizzy twist.
- Stronger Herbal Flavor – Increase the amount of rosemary or mix in mint or basil.
