Homemade Orange Rosemary Iced Tea

  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes (including chilling)
  • Yield: 4-6 glasses 1x

Description

Homemade Orange Rosemary Iced Tea is a refreshing blend of citrus and herbs, combining the bright flavors of orange with the earthy aroma of rosemary. Perfect for warm weather, entertaining, or a revitalizing midday drink!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 23 black tea or green tea bags (or 2 tablespoons loose-leaf tea)
  • 1 large fresh orange, sliced
  • 23 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 23 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Boil Water – In a medium saucepan or kettle, bring water to a boil.
  2. Brew the Tea – Pour the hot water over the tea bags or loose-leaf tea in a heatproof pitcher. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on the desired strength.
  3. Infuse with Orange and Rosemary – Add fresh orange slices and rosemary sprigs to the brewed tea while it is still warm. Allow it to steep for another 10-15 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  4. Strain and Sweeten – Remove the tea bags or strain out the loose tea, oranges, and rosemary. Stir in honey or your preferred sweetener, if using.
  5. Chill – Let the tea cool to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.
  6. Serve – Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over them. Garnish with additional orange slices and rosemary sprigs for an elegant touch.
  7. Enjoy – Stir gently and savor the refreshing taste!

Notes

  • Use Different Teas – Substitute black tea with green tea, white tea, or herbal tea for a different flavor profile.
  • Citrus Blend – Add lemon or grapefruit slices for a mixed citrus infusion.
  • Sweetener Alternatives – Swap honey for agave syrup, maple syrup, or a sugar-free option.
  • Sparkling Version – Add sparkling water before serving for a fizzy twist.
  • Stronger Herbal Flavor – Increase the amount of rosemary or mix in mint or basil.
