Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans, lining bottoms with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add boiling water, mixing until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly between pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then invert onto a cooling rack.
