  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Ground Turkey Teriyaki Stir Fry is a quick, healthy, and flavorful dish made with lean ground turkey, fresh vegetables, and a homemade teriyaki sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for a nutritious weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup julienned carrots
  • 1/2 cup snow peas
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Cooked rice or noodles (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Turkey: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of sesame oil and cook the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: Add bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and snow peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
  4. Combine and Cook: Pour the prepared teriyaki sauce over the turkey and vegetables, stirring well to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats the ingredients.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over cooked rice or noodles if desired.

Notes

  • Protein Swap: Use ground chicken, beef, or tofu instead.
  • Low-Carb Option: Serve over cauliflower rice or in lettuce wraps.
  • Spicy Kick: Add red pepper flakes or sriracha.
  • Different Vegetables: Try zucchini, mushrooms, snap peas, or baby corn.
  • Gluten-Free: Use tamari or coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
