Instructions

  1. Prepare: Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another large bowl, cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vegetable oil and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix Wet and Dry: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in hot coffee.
