Instructions
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth with a few small lumps.
- Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold into wet ingredients.
- Gently stir in chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
- Pour batter into a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
