Deviled Eggs

  • Total Time: 27 minutes

Description

Deviled eggs are a classic appetizer that never goes out of style. Whether you’re hosting a party, a family gathering, or just craving a delicious snack, this deviled eggs recipe is a must-try. With a creamy, tangy filling and a sprinkle of paprika, these bite-sized delights are sure to impress. Plus, they’re incredibly easy to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, remove the pan from heat, cover it, and let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Once the eggs are cooked, transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool for about 5 minutes. Gently tap each egg on a hard surface and peel off the shell. Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks, placing them in a separate bowl.
  3. Mash the egg yolks with a fork until they’re fine and crumbly. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with fresh chives if desired. Chill the deviled eggs in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use older eggs for easier peeling.
  • For a smoother filling, blend the yolk mixture in a food processor.
  • Experiment with toppings like bacon bits, pickles, or smoked salmon.
  • Keep the deviled eggs chilled until ready to serve to maintain freshness.
