Description
Enjoy the perfect balance of tart lime and sweet cherries with these homemade Cherry Limeade Popsicles! Refreshing, easy to make, and naturally sweetened, they’re the ideal summer treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 cup water
- 2–3 tbsp sweetener (honey, agave, or sugar)
- 1 tsp lime zest
- Ice cubes (optional, for blending)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients – Pit the cherries and squeeze the fresh lime juice. Grate the lime zest for extra flavor.
- Blend the Mixture – In a blender, combine cherries, lime juice, lime zest, sweetener, and water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain (Optional) – If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp.
- Taste and Adjust – Check the sweetness and adjust as needed before pouring the mixture into popsicle molds.
- Fill the Molds – Carefully pour the cherry limeade mixture into the molds, leaving a little space at the top to allow for expansion.
- Insert Sticks – If your molds don’t come with built-in sticks, insert wooden popsicle sticks into the center of each mold.
- Freeze – Place the molds in the freezer for at least 4–6 hours, or until fully set.
- Unmold and Enjoy – To remove the popsicles easily, run warm water over the outside of the mold for a few seconds, then gently pull out each popsicle.
Notes
- Cherry-Lemon Popsicles – Swap lime juice for fresh lemon juice for a tangy twist.
- Berry Blend – Mix in strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries for added sweetness and depth of flavor.
- Coconut Cherry Limeade – Add coconut milk for a creamy tropical variation.
- Sparkling Cherry Limeade – Use sparkling water instead of still water for a fizzy texture.
- Sugar-Free Version – Use stevia or monk fruit sweetener for a healthier alternative.
