Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with Cheesy Beef and Bowtie Pasta in Garlic Butter. Tender beef, creamy garlic butter sauce, and melted cheese create a rich and satisfying dish that’s quick, easy, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or leaner)
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra spice)
  • 1/2 onion (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta:

    • Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Once al dente, drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  • Cook the Ground Beef:

    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and fully cooked (5-7 minutes). If using, add chopped onion and sauté until softened. Remove the beef and drain any excess fat.
  • Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Be cautious not to burn the garlic.
  • Add Heavy Cream and Cheese:

    • Stir in heavy cream and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
  • Combine the Beef and Pasta:

    • Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add the pasta, tossing to coat evenly with the creamy garlic butter sauce. If the sauce needs more liquid, add more reserved pasta water.
  • Serve:

    • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for added spice. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk or cream to restore the creamy texture.
  • Customizations: Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for more nutrition and flavor.
