Description
This simple 4C bread crumbs meatball recipe is perfect for busy weeknights. Enjoy tender, flavorful meatballs in a classic spaghetti dish or a meatball sub. Using 4C bread crumbs ensures a perfect texture and delicious taste every time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
- 1 cup 4C bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Your favorite marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the 4C bread crumbs and milk. Let it sit for a couple of minutes to allow the bread crumbs to absorb the milk.
- Add the ground beef, egg, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Gently mix all the ingredients together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Using your hands or a spoon, form the mixture into small, even-sized meatballs (about 1-inch in diameter). Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and lightly browned.
- Transfer the baked meatballs to a pot of your favorite marinara sauce and simmer for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- Donβt Overmix: Overmixing the meatball mixture can result in tough meatballs. Mix until just combined.
- Use Quality Ingredients: High-quality ground meat and fresh ingredients will make a noticeable difference in the taste.
- Test for Seasoning: Before forming all the meatballs, cook a small piece of the mixture to taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Simmer in Sauce: Simmering the cooked meatballs in marinara sauce enhances their flavor and keeps them moist.
